Our Curriculum

Our student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum includes foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, and structured units of inquiry, in both science and social studies allowing students to learn about the world and how they can make a difference.  The result is rich interdisciplinary fields of study and thematic lessons that are relevant, engaging, and exciting to the children at ReThink Microschools.

We follow the Arizona Common Core State Standards when assessing and planning academic progress for our students for math, Science  and English Language Arts.  All work is adapted to meet students where they are at, regardless of grade level or age.

Curriculum Framework:

Core Subjects

We offer a full curriculum in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies that aligns with state standards and college readiness benchmarks. Every subject is adapted to fit the needs, interests, and pace of each learner, without compromising academic integrity.

 Flexibility

We meet each student with empathy and adaptability. Whether a student needs extra time on assignments, breaks throughout the day, or multisensory learning strategies, we’re equipped to offer accommodations that make learning both accessible and meaningful.

College Credit at ASU

Through our partnership with Arizona State University, high school students can earn real college credit before they graduate. This opportunity not only builds academic confidence—it opens doors to higher education and career paths many families once thought were out of reach.

Cyber Security Certificate

In an increasingly digital world, we’re proud to offer a Cyber Security Certificate Program for high school students. It’s a unique opportunity to gain in-demand skills while exploring future tech careers in a supportive, guided environment.

Speech Pathology Support

Our students benefit from on-campus speech-language pathology services that support communication, social interaction, and self-expression. These services are integrated into the school day, making support accessible without disrupting learning.

Student Life

Daily Routine
Structure is key to a successful school day. Our students follow a predictable daily schedule that includes academic blocks, breaks for movement and meals, and time for peer connection. We balance consistency with enough flexibility to support individual needs.
Class Size & Social Dynamics
With a maximum of 8 students per class, our community is tight-knit and relational. Students develop meaningful peer connections and benefit from social coaching embedded throughout the day. We foster an inclusive, respectful environment where every student can safely be themselves.
Celebrating Student Wins
From mastering a new math concept to speaking up in class for the first time, we celebrate the small and large wins. Our team recognizes effort, growth, and courage—not just grades—because we know those are the true indicators of success.
Our Teachers
Our educators are more than just subject-matter experts—they’re compassionate guides trained to support neurodivergent learners. Every teacher brings patience, experience, and deep respect for each student’s unique journey.
Building Belonging
We intentionally create spaces of belonging through rituals, group activities, and identity-affirming practices. Our students don’t just attend school—they feel like they’re part of a community that sees, hears, and values them.
