Our
4th Grade Program
Our fourth grade program builds independence and critical thinking in a neurodiversity-affirming environment where learners strengthen core academic skills at their own pace. With a maximum of 8 students per class, each child receives targeted reading instruction three times weekly using structured literacy methods that develop fluency and comprehension, along with Math curriculum delivered in small ability-based groups focusing on multi-step problem-solving and real-world application.
Students investigate scientific concepts through hands-on experiments and detailed observation journals, analyze chapter books and novels with guided discussion and literary analysis, and express their ideas through organized multi-paragraph writing using graphic organizers, peer feedback, and editing checklists.
Speech pathology services and pet therapy sessions support advanced communication skills and self-regulation, while specials including art, music, adaptive PE, and conversational Spanish ensure a well-rounded experience. Our goal is simple: help every fourth grader discover their unique strengths, build academic confidence, and develop the tools they need to thrive.
